Jefferson County

Jefferson County is in the north central portion of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, the population was 741,096. It is the most populous county in the commonwealth (with more than twice the population of Fayette County). County seat: Louisville, which is co-extensive with the entire county. Principal locations: Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Middletown, Prospect, Greenwood, Shively, Hurstbourne, Anchorage, Glenview, Audubon Park
