Martha Wetter has loved horses since she can remember. Growing up in Chicago, she started riding on a sawhorse she found in a neighbor’s garage, with a blanket for a saddle and a jump rope for a bridle.
When she and her husband moved to Kentucky to attend school, Martha acquired a real, live horse of her own. Martha now lives on a farm in Woodford County, KY with her husband and nine horses.
By day she works as a clinical psychologist; after hours she rides horses and makes jewelry — bracelets, earrings, and necklaces — that show her feelings about horses. She named her business Sawhorse Jewelry Designs in honor of her very first riding experience.
